Making AutoCorrect shortcuts.

With Word 97, you can create AutoCorrect shortcuts. For example, let’s say you are using USA and the United States of America in the same document. You can create a shortcut that will spell out United States of America when you type USA. To do this:

Open the Tools menu.
Click AutoCorrect.
In the Replace field, type something like USAL (Short for long).
In the With field, type United States of America.
From now on, when you want to type out United States of America, simply type USAL. Word will spell it out for you.
